Go into Synaptic and see if you've got any, and if so fix them. It seems Java apps and ...Well, this is a <A HREF="http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=136953&highlight=java+applications+contents" REL="nofollow">known bug.</A> It seems Java apps and Compiz don't like each other. Read the thread, it seems some people have come up with a few workarounds.<BR/><BR/>I'm not of much help, as don't use Java apps.
